The absolute hero of the day was Budućnost VOLI point guard Nemanja Gordić who scored 26 points, including 6 free-throws in the final moments of the match.

It is difficult to describe everything that has happened in Game 5 of the 2016/17 Montenegrin Championship Finals. Budućnost VOLI were up by 70:64, with 90 seconds remaining on the game clock. Mornar managed to reduce the gap to 70:67, but there were only 25 seconds left to be played in this Finals.

Nemanja Gordić then scored 2 out of those 6 free-throws we had mentioned earlier - 72:67, but Antabia Waller answered with a three-pointer on the other end - 72:70. Once again, Gordić was fouled and once again he made 2 from the line - 74:70, but, believe it or not, Waller made another quick 3-pointer - 74:73.

Only 5 seconds were left on the game clock.

Mornar squad had no other option but to make one more foul on Nemanja Gordić, and he scored 2 more free-throws - 76:73 for Budućnost VOLI. The visitors tried to force the overtime, Waller made a full court pass to Boris Bakić who was all alone behind the 3-point line... But, he missed the shot and the score remained the same - 76:73 for Budućnost VOLI.
