Breaks for Cedevita and Cibona in Croatia

At the start of the Croatian National Championship Semi-finals, the ABA League representatives Cedevita and Cibona made the first steps towards the finals by making breaks on the road in their series against Šibenik and Split, respectively.

Cibona have had tougher job than expected playing on the road in Baldekin against GKK Šibenik, but they managed to make a break in the series and take a 1:0 lead at the beginning of the semi-finals. The squad, led from the bench by Damir Mulaomerović, turned the game in their favour in the third quarter, which they have won 16:10, after being down by 3 points at half time. The final score was 70:67 in favour of the guests, for which Luka Žorić (22 points) and Željko Šakić (18), led the way in scoring.

In the second game of the day, Cedevita outplayed Split on the road in Gripe. The Zagreb side have swiftly demonstrated their class and were up by 15 points already at the big break. They had no problems with maintaining their lead in the second half. At the end of the game, the score shown at the scoreboard was 97:78 in favour of the squad of Zagreb. Filip Krušlin was the one to be at the top of the scorers’ list this time for Cedevita with 21 points, Marko Tomas and Džanan Musa followed with 16.
