Union Olimpija have reached the finals of the Slovenian National Championship after two years of break. To do so, they needed to eliminate Krka in the semi-final series and they did it with honour – by beating their ABA League rivals twice in two games.

In the second game of the series, played in Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, the Dragons hoped to make things clear already in the first half – they were determined to end the semi-finals saga no later than after 80 minutes of the game. When the teams have departed to the locker rooms for the half time break, the home side led by 14 points (46:32).

However, Krka made things interesting in the second half, as they have tied the score at 77:77 with 2 and a half minutes remaining on the clock. It was Brandon Jefferson with 5 straight points on his record, who led his team towards the valuable 82:81 win in the end. Brandon Jefferson had 19 points, leading the way in scoring for Olimpija, while Ron Curry was the most efficient at Krka’s side with 22 points.
