Cedevita the first to reach ABA Super Cup Semi-finals

Cedevita are the first semi-finalists of the 2017 ABA Super Cup, as they have egded out FMP in the first game of the Quarter-finals. They will face the better of the Igokea – Mega Bemax clash in the semis.

Game recap: Cedevita have achieved a victory over FMP in the opening game of the inaugural ABA Super Cup in Bar and have become the first to qualify amongst the top four in Bar. They have been a better opponent through the majority of the game and have in the end deservedly celebrated the victory with the final score of 86:68. In the

Key moments: The key to the victory of the squad of Zagreb came in the second quarter, which they have begun with a 2-point deficit (20:22). With four mintues remaining on the clock in the second quarter, they were still trailing with the score of 28:27, but then a 9:0 run followed within only half a minute, with Demetris Nichols scoring 8 points for this run. Cedevita ended the first half with a 41:33 lead and FMP have never managed to recover from this until the end.

Man of the match: Džanan Musa was unstoppable for the FMP squad, as he put in 16 points and added 4 assists, 3 steals and just as many rebounds to his stats. He ended the game with valuation of 20 and he is our man of the match.

Can't trick the stats: Assists/turnovers ratio is what made the difference in the end. While Cedevita had 20 assists and 6 turnovers, FMP had 17 assists and 16 turnovers.
