Game recap: Budućnost VOLI has confirmed once more that they will be amongst the most serious ABA League trophy contenders this season, as they have edged out Cibona at home in Morača with ease. Aleksandar Džikić’s squad have created themselves crucial advantage already in the first quarter and have had no problems maintaining it throughout the game until its end. This victory puts Budućnost VOLI on second place in the standings with two games won so far, together with several more teams, while Cibona are in the lower half, with one victory after three games.

Key moments: In the 16th minute, the home squad have already had 11 points of advantage (30:19), but that wasn’t enough to satisfy them. They rallied on to a new 9:2 run, which has given them a 39:21 lead in the 18th minute and it was clear to all at that point that the game was over for the visitors.

Man of the match: Nemanja Gordić was the man of the match for Budućnost VOLI this time. He led his team in scoring (14 points) and passing (3 assists) and was the true floor general for his team.

Can't trick the stats: Cibona’s main problem during the game was poor 3-point shot execution. They scored only 3 of their 19 shots from beyond the arc (15.8% in comparison to 30.4% of their opponents). This is what more or less decided the winner.
