Mega comeback by Cedevita for a victory in Sremska Mitrovica

Game recap: Cedevita have made a major comeback in the final quarter (when they scored no less than 40 points) of the game in Pinki Sports Hall, Sremska Mitrovica, against Mega Bemax! This is the fourth ABA League win for the Zagreb squad, which are now two victories above Mega and continue to battle for the top of the standings with equal number of victories as the league’s frontrunner after five rounds Budućnost VOLI – which still have a game to play this round.
Key moments: Cedevita were 15 points down after 30 minutes of the game in Sremska Mitrovica, but they have made a major comeback in the final period to beat the hosts. They have still been trailing by nine with less than 4 minutes to play (71:62), but then their 8:0 run followed to make the clash anybody’s game. They finally took the lead with only 22 seconds on the game clock, when Džanan Musa made a 3-point play to take his team ahead with the score 76:73. After that, Mega Bemax did not manage to even level the game anymore.
Man of the match: Džanan Musa shined in Zagreb. He did not only contribute crucial points for his team’s victory, but has also scored 16 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, dished out 2 assists and made a steal for his team’s game-high valuation of 24. He is our man of the match.
Can't trick the stats: Even though Mega Bemax were better or at least even with Cedevita in many statistical categories, what turns out to be the key reason for their defeat was the fact that they had 13 turnovers, compared to only 10 of Cedevita.
