Suad Šehović: “We wll be ready for the beginning of the Finals”

For a long period of time you have been trying to reach the ABA League Finals with your squad, but you have failed to achieve it so far. What is the feeling like after a big win over Cedevita in Game 3? Do you feel relieved?

“The feeling is phenomenal. Finally we have managed to make a step forward, we have deservedly reached the ABA League Finals, even though the Semi-finals were tight. Congratulations to Cedevita for a good series and a true Semi-finals spectacle. Of course we feel relieved and are pleased to have accomplished this historical Finals.”

You have beaten Crvena zvezda mts twice this season. Do you feel like they suit you well as a team? Do you expect similar game or a different one than the two in the regular part of the season?

“Two victories from the regular part of the season are giving us lots of confidence, but for sure the Finals will be different since we will have to play several games in just few days. I believe that we will be ready for the series and that the details will decide.”

Not you, not Crvena zvezda mts have lost a single game in the Playoffs by now. How important will this fact be in the Finals and do you expect upsets like winning away from home?

“I believe that the home court is very important. We all know how tough it is playing in Pionir and Morača as guests. For us and for Crvena zvezda mts the support by fans has been crucial and they have led us to victories.”

What kind of a score in vicories are you expecting at the end of the series in the Finals?

“It’s difficult to make predictions. We need to take one game at a time and I believe that the series will be long.”

Suad Šehović: „Finale ćemo dočekati spremni“

Budućnost VOLI je čekala dugo vremena na plasman u finale ABA lige i sad je konačno došao taj trenutak. Kakva su njihova očekivanja pre početka serije? Pogledajte kako o tome razmišlja kapiten Suad Šehović.

Dugi niz godina pokušavate sa vašom ekipom da prođete do finala ABA lige, ali do sada to niste uspeli da uradite. Kakav je osećaj nakon velike pobede nad Cedevitom u trećoj utakmici? Jel osećate olakšanje?

„Osjećaj je fenomenalan. Konačno smo uspjeli da napravimo korak dalje, zasluženo stigli do finala ABA lige iako je polufinalna serija bila izjednačena. Čestitke Cedeviti na dobroj seriji i pravom polufinalnom spektaklu. Naravno da osjećamo olakšanje i zadovoljstvo zbog istorijskog prolaska u finale.“

Crvenu zvezdu mts ste pobedili dva puta ove sezone. Da li imate osećaj da vam leže kao tim? Da li ovaj put očekujete sličnu utakmicu ili drugačiju nego što su bile one dve u regularnom delu sezone?

„Dvije pobjede u regularnom dijelu nam daju mnogo samopouzdanja, ali sigurno će utakmice finalne serije biti drugačije jer se igraju dan za danom. Mislim da ćemo i mi i oni dočekati seriju spremno i da će detalji odlučivati.“

Ni vi ni Crvena zvezda mts niste izgubili ni jednu utakmicu na domaćem terenu u Playoffu do sada. Koliko mislite da će taj faktor biti značajan u finalu i da li očekujete iznenađenja po tom pitanju?

„Mislim da domaći teren jeste od velikog značaja. Svi znamo koliko su "vrući" Pionir i Morača. I nas i Zvezdu su navijači vodili do finala i bili presudan faktor.“

Kakav ishod finalne serije očekujete u pobedama na kraju?

„Teško je sad bilo šta prognozirati. Idemo utakmicu po utakmicu, mislim da ce biti duga serija.“
