Game recap: Budućnost VOLI are in the lead after the first game of the ABA League Finals, as Aleksandar Džikić and his squad have achieved a huge win on the road in Belgrade against Crvena zvezda mts and made a break in the series. They have made a huge success with excellent performance in the third period and the beginning of the last one of the game in Aleksandar Nikolić Hall. This is the first ever defeat of Zvezda in Aleksandar Nikolić Hall this season and they still keep waiting for their first win over Budućnost VOLI in the 2017/18 ABA League season.

Key moments: Crvena zvezda mts were still holding a 2-point lead (55:53) with 2:30 on the clock in the third quarter, but that’s when the amazing run (6:18) by Budućnost VOLI began, which reached its peak in the 34th minute, when they led by 10 points (71:61).

Man of the match: Nemanja Gordić led his team to the road victory with 18 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and a valuation of 23 in 32 minutes spent on court. He is our man of the match!

Can’t trick the stats: Of course, since it has been a tight result, the difference in the team statistics is almost non-existent. However, one might point out that Zvezda did themselves no favour, as they have missed no less than 8 of their 19 free throws (they scored only 58%). If they were more accurate, the game could have gone a different way.
