Finals against Mega Leks are now ahead of you. What do you believe is the key to your eventual success?
"The key will be defense. They are well known for their defensive game and for their fast and energetic style of basketball. We need to reply with a great defensive game. Of course, we must take advantage of our offensive qualities, but the key will be our defense.”
You are considered the absolute favourites to win the trophy by the public. How can you deal with this pressure?
"We faced huge pressure many times this season. Against Darussafaka we did not manage to deal with it in a proper way, but otherwise we did not have a problem playing with this burden. However, I believe that Mega Leks should not be underestimated. They have an excellent team and are excellently coached. We all know that they are in excellent shape, they have eliminated Budućnost VOLI easily in the Semi-finals and they can play with anybody. We will enter the Finals having that in mind and we will be fully ready and focused.”
What is your general opinion about Mega Leks? They are young and talented…
"I used to be a part of their team until three years ago. I know what it is about, how they are working, I am familiar with the concept. It is extremely good thing for the young players. This season they have made a step forward in their defensive game, which is very important for young players. It of course gives results. Lots of them have made progress in the offensive point of view as well. I only have words of praise for them and cannot wait for the clashes to begin.”
