Elgin Cook to play for Cedevita next season

American forward Elgin Cook is the new member of Cedevita.

He spent one college season at the Nortwesth Florida State University and the rest three at Oregon University. 25-year old Elgin Cook signed a 2-year deal.

After college he signed with the Santa Cruz Warriors, the farm team of Golden State in the G League and averaged 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 21 minutes per game.

After the end of this season he played in the NBA Summer League fort he Golden State Worriors, after which he signed with German side Ludwigsburg. With this team he reached the semi-finals in the German National Championship and the semi-finals in Basketball Champions League.

He is the son of the former NBA player Alvin Robertson, who used to be an All Star player four times and once the defensive player of the year and once the most improved player of the league each. Robertson won the gold medal with the USA national team in the 1984 Olympic Games.

Elgin Cook slijedeće sezone u Cedeviti

Novi igrač Cedevite je Amerikanac Elgin Cook, koji igra na poziciji niskog krila.

Jednu sveučilišnu sezonu proveo je na Nortwest Florida Stateu, a preostale tri igrao je za Oregon. Dvadesetpetogodišnji Cook potpisao je opcijski dvogodišnji ugovor.

Potom je potpisao za Santa Cruz Warriorse, koji su filijala Golden Statea u razvojnoj NBA ligi i u sezoni 2016/17 tu je prosječno bilježio 14,7 poena, 4,8 skoka, za 21 minuta po susretu.

Po završetku te sezone igrao je Ljetnu ligu za Golden State Warriorse, a onda je potpisao za njemački Ludwigsburg. S tom momčadi došao je do polufinala u Prvenstvu Njemačke i do polufinala u FIBA Ligi prvaka.

Spomenut ćemo na kraju i da je Elgin sin bivšeg NBA igrača Alvina Robertsona, koji je četiri puta bio All Star igrač, jednom je u NBA ligi dobio nagradu za obrambenog igrača godine, a jednom za igrača koji je najviše napredovao. Robertson je 1984. godine ujedno s reprezentacijom SAD-a osvojio zlatnu medalju na Olimpijskim igrama.
