U18: Serbia won the gold

In the U18 European Championship, Serbia have won the gold, by beating hosts Latvia in the final of the tournament. Slovenia promoted to the A Division.

In the U18 European Championship, Serbia have climbed on top, spectacularly, by beating Latvia in the gold medal game on Sunday night, with the final score of 99:90. This way, Serbia have earned themselves back to back champions title, as they have repeated the success from last summer.

The special honour goes to Marko Pecarski of Partizan NIS, who has been named the tournament MVP.

Other ABA League countries have achieved notable results as well. Montenegro have finished 8th, Croatia 11th and Bosnia and Herzegovina 16th. In the B Division, Slovenia took the second place by losing to Netherlands in the Final and won the promotion into the A Division. Macedonia finished 18th.
