Antabia Waller has returned to Mornar

He is back! Antabia Waller has signed a contract with Mornar and has therefore returned to the club for which he played in the 2016/17 season. Back then, Waller was one of the best players of this team, averaging 14,7 points per game in the ABA league regular season.

He spent the last season in Italian team Pallacanestro Varese.

“Of course that I was following the games of Mornar in the past season. I was so happy when they reached the ABA League Playoffs and when they won the Montenegrin Championship, but I was also a bit sad because I was not part of that team. Still, I am here now and I hope we will have another successful season,” said Waller.

This 30-year old American shooting guard won’t be able to help Mornar in the opening round of the new season, but he should be ready to make a debut already next week in the match against Krka.

Taj Voler se vratio u Mornar

Tridesetogodišnji Amerikanac se vratio u Mornar nakon sezone provedene u Varezeu, i po tradiciji “zadužio” prvo navijačku majicu i šal svog novog-starog kluba, a potom i fotografisao ispred šampionskog postera.

“Nadam se da ću sledeće sezone i ja biti ovakvom posteru pored ovog”, prokomentarisao je ljubimac Mornarovih navijača.

“Pratio sam mečeve Mornara, naravno, radovao se osvajanju šampionske titule, bio i malo tužan što nisam bio dio tog tima ali evo me da popravimo i tu stvar”, ispričao je Voler koji će do ponedjeljka morati da trenira sam u dvorani Topolica, iščekujući povratak ekipe iz Slovenije.

Voler je u sezoni 2016/2017 u Mornaru prosječno postizao 14,7 poena u ABA ligi, a u FIBA Ligi šampiona 13,1.
