Unfortunately, both Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina suffered defeats this Thursday evening in 2019 FIBA World Qualifiers.

Serbia was defeated by Estonia on the road, which means that the boys coached by Aleksandar Đorđević missed their first match point for securing a place at the World Cup. Still, Serbia will have one more chance to get a ticket for the big tournament and in order to do that they will have to win against Israel at home court in the last round of the qualifiers.

Speaking about the tonight's game, Serbia have been in front throughout most of the match, however Estonia made a late comeback and pulled off a major upset. In a dramatic finish, Stevan Jelovac had a chance to take the game into overtime, but he missed the last of his 3 free throws and the score remained 71:70 for Estonia.

Bosnia & Herzegovina suffered road defeat against Czech Republic in the match which was not that important for the team coached by Vedran Bosnić. Bosnia & Herzegovina had previously stayed without any chance for qualifying to the 2019 FIBA World Cup, so they played against the Czech team only for prestige. In a pretty exciting finish, Czech player Patrik Auda made both free throws on 8 seconds before the end and sealed the win for the home team.
