Domestic Leagues: It’s not over - Mornar down Budućnost VOLI in Podgorica

The reigning Montenegrin champions are still alive in the title race.

Everything was ready for the title celebrations in Sports Center Morača, but Mornar decided to ruin the plans of Budućnost VOLI and the home fans. The squad from Bar triumphed in Podgorica in Game 3 of the Finals and reduced their deficit in the series to 1-2.

Mornar have been in front during most of the match, while they were up by 15 points right before the end of the 3rd quarter – 57:42. Still, Budućnost VOLI almost made an epic comeback in the last quarter, as they reduced the gap to just 1 point on two minutes before the end – 67:66.

At that moment Marko Mugoša stepped up for the away team. Excellent scorer made the crucial 3-pointer for Mornar – 70:66, while then Uroš Luković and Nikola Rebić made 2 free-throws each and sealed the win for the visitors.

Game 4 is scheduled for Monday and it will be played in Sports Center Topolica, Bar.
