WC: Spain stronger than Serbia

In the Sunday’s 2019 FIBA World Cup clash, Serbia have suffered their first defeat of the tournament, as they have lost against Spain after poor performances in the second and third quarters.

The squad, led by Aleksandar Đorđević from the bench, have started the game well and were in front by 7 points at the end of the opening quarter, but the Spanish have turned the flow of the game completely upside down in the second quarter and departed to the big break with 8-point lead (45:37). In the third quarter, the Spanish lead has even risen and crossed the 20-point milestone at one point.

Bogdan Bogdanović led the way in scoring for Serbia with 26 points, while Vladimir Lučić added 8.

In the end, the score was 81:69 in favour of the Spanish.
