Ron Curry is the new Krka's point guard

Ronald Lee Curry, 23-year old and 190 cm tall point guard from New Jersey is set to join the practices of Krka ahead of the forthcoming season.

Ron is coming to Novo mesto from JMU University (James Madison University of Virginia that is participating in the NCAA 1 League. Last season he was one of the key players of his team, which is evident from his statistics. He was the best player of his team in almost every statistical category. As the player with the largest number of minutes spent on court (33.4 minutes per game), he was the top scorer of his team (17.3 points per game), the top passer (3.6 assists per game) and ball stealer (1 per game).

He was the 5th scorer and 7th passer of the NCAA-CAA Conference and was chosen to all-conference team in the regular part of the season. Three times he also earned himself a player of the week award.

Ron is coming to Krka as a replacement for Ceola Clark III, who will eventually not join Krka, since he decided to quit playing basketball due to the repeating injury problems.

Ekipi Krke se bo na treningih v naslednjem tednu pridružil Ronald Lee Curry, 23 letni, 190 cm visoki organizator igre, doma iz New Jerseya.

Ron prihaja iz univerze JMU (James Madison University), iz Virginije, ki igra v NCCA1 ligi. V pretekli sezoni je bil vodilni igralec svoje ekipe, kar kaže tudi njegova statistika. Bil je najboljši igralec ekipe Knezov v skoraj vseh statističnih kategorijah. Kot igralec z največjo minutažo v ekipi (33,4 minute na tekmo), je v povprečju dosegal največ točk (17,3 na tekmo), asistenc (3,6 na tekmo) in ukradenih žog (1 na tekmo).

V NCCA-CAA konferenci, kjer je igrala ekipa JMU, je bil kot 5. strelec in 7. asistent, izbran v prvo ekipo konference v rednem delu in predsezoni, trikrat pa je bil imenovan tudi za igralca tedna.
