EL: Zvezda in Kazan, can the red & whites make another major break?

After scoring a big triumph in Belgrade derby and extending their perfect streak in ABA League, Crvena zvezda mts are in front of another Euroleague challenge.

In the 6th round of Euroleague, the reigning ABA League champions are traveling to Kazan, Russia, to face UNICS.

Crvena zvezda mts have a long history of head to head duels with UNICS. The last time they met was in the semifinals of 2013/14 Eurocup season, when the Belgrade squad won the 1st match at home by 63:52, but then lost the rematch in Kazan by 84:67 and the Russian side advanced to finals.

They will now face each other in Euroleague where, so far, Crvena zvezda mts have a better overall score than their rivals. In the previous 5 rounds, Zvezda have collected 2 wins, while UNICS scored their one and only win last week against none other than Fenerbahce away.
