Story of the game: The end of the year was not really successful for Zadar. They lost the previous two games in ABA League, while they suffered 4 defeats out of the previous 5 games. Still, as this is their last match in 2016, Zadar crew are fully motivated to finish the year with a victory, but they will not have an easy task... Because, the team they are about to play against comes from the top part of the standings.
Budućnost VOLI are chasing the Playoffs and for a long time they were all alone at the 2nd place. However, the squad from Podgorica suffered 3 defeats in a row in ABA League and they sank to the 5th position! Still, Budućnost VOLI have the same overall score as the 4th placed Cibona and as the 3rd placed Cedevita, so they will have a chance to jump back into the Playoffs zone this week. But, firstly, the Blue squad will need to win in Zadar, which is always very difficult.
Match-up in focus: In both teams everything starts from the point guards. Jakov Vladović is the most experienced player in the team and the true leader of Zadar. On the other side, Marcus Williams is one of the most creative players in the entire league and most of the Budućnost VOLI gameplay depends on his performance.
