Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia celebrate new wins
Montenegro have won their first game of the EuroBasket 2017 tournament, by outplaying Hungary with 24 points of margin. Croatia and Slovenia remain perfect with two wins out of two games apiece. Serbia defeated against Russia.

There are no ABA League countries left with no victories on their records at EuroBasket 2017 anymore, after Montenegro have crushed Hungary in the Round 2 game of the Group C. It has been a one-sided battle since the very beginning and in the end the margin was 24 points (72:48) in favour of Bogdan Tanjević’s squad. Former Budućnost VOLI centers Bojan Dubljević and Nikola Vučević shined for their team with 13 points scored each.
In Helsinki, Slovenia edged out hosts Finland in a thrilling encounter, after only in the final seconds, Anthony Randolph secured Igor Kokoškov’s squad the victory with a coast to coast play. The final score was 81:78 for Slovenia, for which former Petrol Olimpija player Goran Dragić was once again the most efficient, as he scored 29 points. Randolph contributed 10.
Another team that have beaten the hosts of the tournament were Croatia, which have knocked down Romania in Cluj-Napoca. It has truly been one-way traffic all game long and the final score reflects this fact perfectly. Croatia won 74:58, with former Cibona stars in the limelight. Bojan Bogdanović was the top scorer (21 points), Dario Šarić followed (11).
Serbia suffered its first defeat of the tournament, as they lost their game against Russia in Istanbul, after a late-game thriller, with the final score of 75:72. Former Partizan NIS, Crvena zvezda mts and Mega Leks players Bogdan Bogdanović and Boban Marjanović were the ones to take the place atop of the scorers’ list for Serbia with 19 points each.
