ABA League Round 3, Sunday, 14.10.2018:

PETROL OLIMPIJA - ZADAR

Where? Stožice Sports Hall, Ljubljana

When? 21:00

Story of the game: Zadar's fans, especially the ones who are still young, are not really thrilled to see their team go to Ljubljana to face Petrol Olimpija. Why? Simply because Zadar haven't defeated Petrol Olimpija on the road in the last 10 years! The last time Dalmatians triumphed in this city was in 2008... Since then, they have suffered 9 consecutive defeats.

Breaking that Ljubljana curse in this moment would be extremely important for the visitors, because Zadar are still winless in the 2018/19 ABA League season and they need to change that as soon as possible.

On the other side, Petrol Olimpija have 1 win out of the previous 2 rounds and they now want to improve that score. The Dragons are now stronger for former Cibona player Scott Reynolds, who joined the club last week and he should make a debut in this match.

Match-up in focus: Jan Špan is not afraid to take the leader's role in Petrol Olimpija and he is often the best player of this team down on the court. This time he will have to face Malcolm Grant, who still hasn't showed his full potential in Zadar, but the American point guard is quite able to single-handedly change to outcome of the match.

Head to head in regional league: In total 19:13; In Ljubljana 13:3.
