Krka hosted Slovenian Wheelchair basketball national team members

Krka have, as one of the actions with a goal of promotion of regional wheelchair basketball, which is also promoted by ABA League and its clubs, taken advantage of an opportunity to spread the socially responsible message in their own way and they have organized a special visit to their club by Robi Bojanec, Slovenian national team member in wheelchair basketball and Žiga Kobaševič, head coach of the Slovenian Wheelchair Basketball national team.

They have presented the sport of the disabled persons and specifics of wheelchair basketball, which is a popular sport amongst the persons with disabilities.

“I have been involved with the sports of persons with disabilities and have been a guests to several tournaments of wheelchair basketball, that have been organized in Novo mesto. This is basketball and we are all interested in other aspects of this sport. This visit by Robi and Žiga was a pleasant diversification of our practice,” Krka head coach Simon Petrov told. In the name of the Novo mesto club, captain Jure Balažić has thanked the guests and handed them humble gifts.

“I am leaving the Krka practice with presentation of the wheelchair basketball with good impressions. The players have been thrilled and in the end we have received an invitation to join them in some of their games,” Robi Bojanec added, while head coach Kobaševič was thinking in a similar way.

For several seasons, ABA League has also been promoting the value of sport of disabled persons, by promoting the Regional Wheelchair Basketball League. The next tournaments of the League will take place on 8 and 9 December in Banja Luka and Zagreb and the games will be covered by our official website and social media as well.
