ABA League Round 8, Sunday, 24.11.2019:

Where? Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall, Belgrade

Where? 12:00

Story of the game: One the Sunday night one thing will be certain in Belgrade – Mega Bemax and Cibona will battle one against another with only one strong desire – to grab a victory in their clash, to escape the danger zone near the bottom of the standings and to rise towards the middle of the standings with 8 rounds left in the season.

Currently, Cibona are in a bit better position than their rivals, as they are occupying the ninth place in the standings with two victories in their pockets after seven rounds. On the other side, Mega Bemax have won one game so far and are place in the eleventh place at the moment, only one victory above the last-placed Zadar.

Right now, Cibona seem also to be in a slightly better shape than Mega Bemax, as they have won their last game and two of their last five. Mega Bemax, however, are in a three games long winless streak, winning only one game of their last five. What goes in the Belgrade’s team favour is the home court advantage, since they have won five of their six games against Cibona at home courts in the regional competition’s history.

Match-up in focus: It will be fun to watch young gun Marko Simonović, which is one of the most pleasant surprises of the ABA League season so far, playing against another revelation of the ABA League season – Mate Vucić of Cibona. For sure there will be no lack of enthusiasm on court of Ranko Žeravica Hall and we need to see who of them would be more successful this time.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 7:5; At Mega Bemax’s home court 5:1.
