Game recap: Mornar have scored a huge win in the last match of Round 19 as they defeated the reigning ABA League champions Crvena zvezda mts at home court in Bar. This was one of the best performances of Mornar in this season, while their today’s hero was Uroš Luković who finished the match with the index rating of 38!
On the other side, if it is any comfort for Crvena zvezda mts, they managed to win the last quarter by 26:9 and therefore to secure a better head-to-head score against Mornar in the regular season. And that thing might be quite important when it comes to the battle for the Playoffs.
Key moments: Mornar reached a double-digit lead already in the 1st quarter, which they won by 20:9. The home team continued increasing their lead throughout the following two quarters, while at the end of the 3rd quarter the Bar troops were up by 24 points – 62:38! As we have already written above in the game recap – those were probably the best 30 minutes for Mornar in the ongoing season.
Man of the match: Uroš Luković! What a game this was for Mornar’s starting center. Luković scored 23 points tonight without missing a single 2-point shot – 10/10, while his overall index rating was 38. Uroš Luković has therefore won the MVP of the round award.
Can’t trick the stats: Crvena zvezda mts played this game without their both point guards – Lorenzo Brown and Filip Čović – and that is why the away team made only 6 assists for the entire match.
