Split have formed their point guard tandem for the next season. After completing the transfer of Sani Čampara from Sloboda Tuzla, the Yellow squad have now penned a 1-year contract with former FMP point guard Ilija Đoković.

Đoković started his pro career in Jagodina for which he played from 2012 to 2015, while he then moved to FMP where he stayed in the following two seasons. In the summer of 2016, Đoković signed with Borac and has played for this team until 2019. In the previous season he returned to FMP and he averaged 4.9 points and 3 assists per game in the 2019/20 ABA League.

“I am happy and proud to wear the jersey of a club that has been the European champion three times in its history. Also, I am looking forward to playing basketball in legendary Gripe Hall where many basketball icons, like Toni Kukoč and Dino Rađa, made their first steps. I believe that we are in front of a very exciting season and I will give my best to help the team achieve good results,“ said Đoković.
