Luka Ščuka moved to Cedevita Olimpija
Cedevita Olimpija have reinforced their ranks at the small forward position with the young gun Luka Ščuka, that will remain in Ljubljana for the next four seasons.

Youngster Luka Ščuka, who turned 18 on 23 May, spent his entire career by now at Nova Gorica, where he used to play for all youth categories of the Nova Gorica squad. Now, Ščuka will get the opportunity to present himself at the big scene as well. This week Luka has already joined the senior squad under the helm of Jurica Golemac.
Ščuka, talented 208 cm tall player, has spent the last two seasons in the jersey of Gorica and has been averaging 15.8 points per game in 15 games played in the third division of the Slovenian club competitions. In the Slovenian National Cup he has appeared in six games with an average of 12 points per game. He has been playing at the forward position in the senior basketball competition by now.
In 2018, Ščuka has played for Slovenia U16 National Team in Novi Sad and has recorded an average of 3.9 points and 2.9 rebounds per clash. In 2019 he also played at the U18 European Championship.
As he agreed on cooperation with the Ljubljana side, Ščuka did not try to hide his delight: “I am extremely happy to have become a part of the Ljubljana club. I am looking forward to playing at the highest level. I cannot wait to present myself to the Ljubljana fans.”

Luka Ščuka bo nosil dres Cedevite Olimpije
Člansko moštvo Cedevite Olimpije je na položaju krila oz. krilnega centra okrepil mladi Luka Ščuka, ki bo v Ljubljani ostal prihodnje štiri sezone.
Mladi Luka Ščuka, ki je 23. maja dopolnil 18 let, je svojo celotno kariero preživel v Novi Gorici, kjer je nastopal za vse mlajše selekcije novogoriškega kluba. Zdaj bo Ščuka dobil priložnost, da se v dresu Cedevite Olimpije predstavi tudi na velikem odru. V tem tednu se je Luka že pridružil treningom članskega moštva pod taktirko glavnega trenerja Jurice Golemca.
Ščuka, nadarjeni, 208 centimetrov visoki košarkar, je zadnji dve sezoni nastopal tudi v dresu članskega moštva Gorice, in v sezoni 2019/20 v 3. SKL v povprečju dosegal 15,8 točke na tekmo, zaigral pa je na 15 obračunih. V Pokalu Spar je na parket stopil na šestih tekmah in beležil 12,0 točk na tekmo. V članski košarki se je Ščuka preizkušal predvsem na igralnem položaju krila, rad pa ima tudi žogo v svojih rokah, in se preizkuša na položaju organizatorja igre.
Leta 2018 je Ščuka v dresu slovenske reprezentance zaigral na evropskem prvenstvu za fante do 16. leta v Novem Sadu in beležil 3,9 točke ter 2,9 skoke. Luka je v letu 2019 zaigral tudi na evropskem prvenstvu za fante do 18. leta in beležil 0,3 točke in 0,5 skoke.
Ob dogovoru z Ljubljančani je Ščuka žarel od zadovoljstva: "Zelo vesel sem, da sem postal del ljubljanskega kluba. Veselim se igranja na najvišji ravni. Komaj čakam, da se predstavim ljubljanskim navijačem."
