Can Cibona stop red-hot Mornar?

Story of the game: Mornar have scored some big wins lately, while on Monday evening they will host Cibona in Round 2 of the 2020/21 ABA League regular season.

Mornar started their 2020/21 ABA League campaign just couple of days ago when they stormed through Zadar, scoring a pretty convincing win along the way. Before that, the boys from Bar have defeated Spanish powerhouse Unicaja Malaga in the EuroCup, which was one of the greatest wins for this club in its history. Mornar are obviously in excellent rhythm at the start of the new season, they look much stronger than before the summer and they are hungry for success. Therefore, they will be fully motivated to stay on the winning path on Monday evening.

On the other side, Cibona can’t really say that they had a successful season opening. In the first round of the 2020/21 ABA League regular season they were defeated by Crvena zvezda mts in Zagreb by no less than 38 points. Still, Cibona have an extremely talented group of players in their roster who will most certainly want to show to everyone that the match against Crvena zvezda mts was not their true face. We are about to see if the young Wolves can bounce back on their feet already in the match in Bar.

Match-up in focus: Jacob Pullen had a bit of a slow start in the Friday’s game against Zadar, but Mornar’s scoring machine had quickly picked up the pace and you all know what happened in the rest of the match. Pullen started making shots from all over the court and at the end of the game he was once again the top scorer in his team.

Roko Prkačin made just 3 points in the match against Crvena zvezda mts, but we all know that he is capable of much more than that. Prkačin is considered to be one of the greatest talents in the region and he will now want to leave a much better impression than in the first round.
