ABA League Round 5, Sunday, 1 November 2020:

ZADAR - SPLIT

Where? Krešimir Ćosić Hall

When? 21:00

Story of the game: In this week’s match of the round we have a clash of two local rivals – Zadar vs. Split. These two teams are about to face each other in ABA League for the first time since 2013, while the upcoming match is very important for each side as both Zadar and Split want to move up to the top part of the standings.

After 4 rounds of the 2020/21 regular season, Zadar and Split have the same overall score – 1 win and 3 defeats. Zadar are awaiting the upcoming match in a slightly better mood as they triumphed last weekend against Koper Primorska on the road, while Split suffered a narrow defeat in their game vs. Igokea.

It is also important to write couple of things about their head-to-head score. Zadar have won the previous 10 games against Split in ABA League, while looking at their overall head-to-head score Zadar have 13 wins and Split have only 3. Split scored their last win against Zadar in ABA League way back in 2004.

Match-up in focus: Domagoj Vuković (Zadar) vs. Marko Luković (Split). Both of them were quite good last weekend as Vuković was the 2nd best scorer of Zadar in their win vs. Koper Primorska, while Marko Luković was the 2nd best scorer of Split in their match against Igokea. Looking at the entire season, Vuković is the 2nd best scorer of Zadar, while Luković is the the top scorer of Split. And they are both playing at power forward position, which means they will be guarding one another in the Sunday’s match of the round.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 13:3; In Zadar 6:2.
