FMP vs. Borac… Who will score their 2nd win of the season?

Story of the game: ABA League returns to Belgrade where FMP are about to face Borac on Monday evening.

Both sides have scored just 1 win so far in the season, but it is important to mention that Borac have played one game less than FMP as their match vs. Mornar was postponed. It is also important to mention that both sides had an extremely difficult schedule in the previous 4 rounds. Borac have played against Partizan NIS, Crvena zvezda mts and Budućnost VOLI, while FMP have faced Koper Primorska, Split, Partizan NIS and Budućnost VOLI.

After winning the match against Koper Primorska at home court in the opening round of the new season, FMP suffered 3 consecutive defeats, so they will now be fully motivated to end that losing streak. Last weekend, the Panthers had a huge chance to stun Budućnost VOLI on the road, however they haven’t had enough concentration in the final moments. Perhaps, now the luck will be on their side and they will grab their second win of the season.

This will be the 3rd away game for Borac in their first ever ABA League season and the Čačak squad have already showed that they can play equally good on the away courts as they are playing in their own gym. After all, Borac defeated Partizan NIS in Belgrade in the first round of this season and they were one 3-pointer away to force overtime against Budućnost VOLI in Podgorica.

Match-up in focus: Filip Čović (FMP) vs. Bryce Jones (Borac). Filip Čović is the 4^th best scorer of FMP and the best passer in the entire league at the moment, while Bryce Jones is the top scorer and the best passer of Borac so far in the 2020/21 ABA League regular season. It will be extremely interesting to see who will win this battle of point guards in Čačak.
