Steven Gray inks contract with Igokea

Igokea have strengthened their 2020/21 team roster as they signed a contract with 31-year-old American shooting guard Steven Gray.

Igokea have strengthened their 2020/21 team roster as they signed a contract with 31-year-old American shooting guard Steven Gray.

Gray spent the last three seasons in Greek team Peristeri, while this season he averaged 21.4 points per game in the FIBA Champions League. On October 27th, 2020 in the match between Peristeri and Rytas Vilnius he set the new FIBA Champions League all-time record for the highest index rating achieved in a single game by one player. In that match Gray recorded 39 points and the overall index rating of 47. He was named the MVP of the month in October in the 2020/21 FIBA Champions League.

Steven Gray has spent most of his pro career in Europe. Apart from the last three years that he spent in Greek side Peristeri he has also played for Ventspils (Latvia), Chorale Roanne, BCM Gravelines and JDA Dijon (France), Lavrio (Greece), while in 2018 he had a short stint with Zadar.

Back in 2015, Gray was the top scorer of the French Championship.

Stiven Grej potpisao za Igokeu

Stiven Grej dolazi iz Peristerija, a tokom koledž karijere u SAD-u nastupao je za univerzitet Gonzaga.

Rođen je 8.aprila 1989.godine, visok je 196 cm i pokriva poziciju beka šutera.

Riječ je o odličnom šuteru, koji ima bogato iskustvo igranja u Evropi. Pored Grčke gdje je igrao još za Lavrio, Grej je nastupao i u Francuskoj za Gravelin i Dižon.

Bio je najbolji strijelac prvenstva Francuske i nekoliko puta izabran u najbolji tim prvenstva Grčke. Ove sezone je imao sjajan učinak u FIBA ligi šampiona gdje je postizao 21. 4 poena po utakmici a bio je proglašen i za najkorisnijeg košarkaša u ovom takmičenju za mjesec oktobar. Tada je protiv Ritasa ubacio 39 poena i imao indeks korisnosti 47, što je rekord ovog takmičenja.
