Borac turned on their engines
There is a historic season ahead of Borac, there is no doubt about that. After more than 30 years, the team from the town by the Morava river had a chance to compete at the big stage. Even though it is no longer old Yugoslav National League, but the elite ABA League.

The biggest credits for the success go to the team’s tactician, Marko Marinović and his coaching staff. Two seasons ago, in his debut season in the role of head coach, he first took Borac to the ABA League top tier competition and a season after, he managed to protect the team from relegation, even though it has been far from an easy task.
A new season amongst the regional elite is ahead of the Čačak side right now. The training camp has begun only a few days later than a year before.
Coach Marinović does not have the entire team at his disposal right now, but he hopes this to change soon. In contrast to the previous season, some of the players have extended their cooperation with the club, some of them left the club and some of them still have valid contracts.
At the first practice Uroš Čarapić, Nemanja Todorović, Aleksa Novaković, Radovan Đoković, Marko Pecarski and Luka Andrić were present. Lautaro Lopez and Duda Sanadze are expected to join in the forthcoming days, while former players Nikola Pešaković, Matija Popović and Mladen Pantić have also practiced with Borac squad.
Ahead of the beginning of the training camp, Marko Marinović expressed his thoughts with the following words: “We have started our training camp today, on 2 August and the new season begins on 25 September. We have two months to prepare adequately, so we have enough time to get ready until the beginning of the new ABA League season. Above all, we need us all to gather, since our squad still isn’t complete. We also have plenty of youngsters, that are currently spending their time with the national team. Also, we have a slight problem with Lopez. I hope that we solve all of the problems soon and that our squad completes fast.”

Borac krenuo sa pripremama
Iza Borca je istorijska sezona, u to nema sumnje. Nakon više od 30 godina, tim iz grada na Moravi je imao priliku da se takmiči na velikoj sceni. Doduše, to više nije bila ex-Yu liga, već elitno ABA takmičenje.
Najveće zasluge svakako da pripadaju strategu tima, Marku Marinoviću, kao i njegovom stručnom štabu. On je pre dve sezone, u svojoj debitantskoj godini u ulozi trenera, prvo uveo Borac u ABA 1 ligu, da bi zatim minule takmičarske godine uspeo da sačuva tabor u društvu najboljih, iako posao nije bio ni malo lak.
Sada je ispred Čačana nova sezona u regionalnoj eliti. Pripreme su krenule svega nekoliko dana kasnije nego lane.
Trener Marinović u ovom momentu nema kompletan tim na raspolaganju, uz nadu, da će to uskoro biti slučaj. U odnosu na prošlu sezonu, neki igrači su produžili saradnju, nekolicina je otišla iz kluba, jedan deo košarkaša je imao važeće ugovore.
Na prvoj prozivci pred novu sezonu pojavili su se Uroš Čarapić, Nemanja Todorović, Aleksa Novaković, Radovan Đoković, Marko Pecarski i Luka Andrić. U narednim danima će se priključiti Lautaro Lopez i Duda Sanadze, dok su Borcem trenirali i bivši igrači Nikola Pešaković, Matija Popović i Mladen Pantić.
Marko Marinović izneo je svoje mišljenje pred početak priprema: ,,Započeli smo pripreme danas, 2. avgusta, a nova sezona počinje 25. septembra. Na raspolaganju nam je gotovo dva meseca, tako da imamo dovoljno vremena da se spremimo do početka novog izdanja ABA takmičenja, Pre svega, moramo svi da se skupimo, jer još uvek nismo kompletirali sastav. Takođe, imamo dosta mladih igrača koji su sa reprezentacijom. Pored toga, imamo sitan problem sa Lopezom. Nadam se da ćemo uskoro rešiti sve probleme i da ćemo se vrlo brzo kompletirati“.
