AdmiralBet ABA League Round 18, Friday, 28 January 2022:

SPLIT - IGOKEA

Where? Split Sports Hall, Split

When? 19:00

Story of the game: On Friday night, Split will be hosting Igokea m:tel at home in Split Sports Hall.

It is a highly important game for both squads, that are currently fighting for different goals in this AdmiralBet ABA League season. However, what they do have in common is the fact, that both of them need to win in order to get closer to achieving their goals.

While Split are currently the last-placed team in the standings with the record of 2:14, they need to win in order to end their 8 games long winless streak and to improve their chances of escaping the league’s bottom by the time the Regular Season ends.

On the other side, Igokea m:tel are currently on the edge of the Playoffs Zone, on the 6th place with the record of 8:7, which is one win more than the 7th placed Mega Mozzart and they need to keep winning in order to protect their position.

The tradition isn’t on the side of the hosts, as they have faced Igokea m:tel 5 times in the regional competition so far and have lost all five games. Can this time be different?

Match-up in focus: A sharp-shooting clash between two American players Shannon Shorter and Antabia Waller will be in the limelight this time. Both of the two are currently the top scorers of their respective squads, with Shorter averaging 17.3 points per game this season in the AdmiralBet ABA League and Waller 12.7.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 0:5; In Split 0:2.
