AdmiralBet ABA League Round 18, Saturday, 29 January 2022:

CIBONA - SC DERBY

Where? Dražen Petrović Sports Hall, Zagreb

When? 19:00

Story of the game: Cibona lost the previous 7 games in the 2021/22 AdmiralBet ABA League regular season, while this Saturday evening they will host league newcomers SC Derby. Can the Zagreb side put an end to their awful losing run?

At this moment we only know that Cibona will look a bit different than before as this will be their 1st game in the championship with new head coach Gašpern Okorn. As you all already know, the Wolves parted ways with their previous head coach Vladimir Jovanović and they appointed Okorn to lead them in the rest of the season. And we are all eager to see how will Cibona look like with new head coach at the helm.

On the other side, SC Derby ended their 3-game losing streak last weekend when they defeated Split in Podgorica and therefore they are approaching this match in high spirits. The Podgorica side hope to repeat the result from the 1st part of the season when they triumphed against Cibona at home court by 93:87.

Match-up in focus: The upcoming match brings us a direct duel between two extremely talented centers – Danko Branković (Cibona) and Kenan Kamenjaš (SC Derby). Branković had some very good displays lately, while he was especially good in the match between Cibona and Cedevita Olimpija when he made 20 points and 9 rebounds. At the same time, Kamenjaš, who is the best rebounder of the league at the moment, also had a stunning performance recently as he made 20 points and 12 rebounds tw weeks ago in the match against Partizan NIS.

Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 0:1; In Zagreb 0:0.
