Excellent second half hands Podgorica a big win over Gorica

PODGORICA - Gorica 86:70 (18:15, 16:21, 33:14, 19:20)
In the opening game of the NLB ABA League 2 Round 10, Podgorica have prevailed over Gorica, thanks to their furious second half display.
It has been a game, which Podgorica have started better, leading by 3 points after the opening quarter. Gorica fought back in the second quarter and turned the game completely upside-down by halftime. They were up by 2 points (34:36) as the two sides headed for the big break.
However, Podgorica showed a completely different face in the second half, won the third quarter alone by 19 points and entered the final quarter with a 17-point advantage. The final period did not bring any turnaround and Podgorica celebrated a convincing win in the end.
This win keeps Podgorica firmly in the Playoffs Zone, with a 6:4 record after 10 rounds. Gorica, on the other side, remain with only one win in their hands and with a 1:9 record, they will be occupying the bottom of the standings after 10 rounds. It remains to be seen, though, whether they would be alone at the bottom or will they remain there in the company of Vrijednosnice Osijek or Spars Ilidža perhaps.
