Marcus Weathers has proven, throughout the month of February, his dominance on the AdmiralBet ABA League courts wherever he has appeared and besides the fact that he finished the month at the very top of the statistical category of valuation, he deserved himself the award with his contribution to the team's success – Mornar-Barsko zlato have won half of their games played in the month of February.

The star player in the ranks of the Topolica squad averaged 25.5 points, 9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and a valuation of 31 during the games of Mornar-Barsko zlato in February.

We’ve checked with Marcus Weathers on what he considers to be the secret behind his excellent performances lately and this is what he replied: “It’s just for me about being as consistent as I can. I know what my job is and that’s for me to go out there and do everything to the best of my abilities. I’ve always prided myself on being a guy that shows up night in and night out. A lot of hard work has lead me to this.”

It turns out that the head coach of the Bar squad helped Marcus a lot by allowing him to be at his best the way he can. “To be honest I have a lot  of respect for a coach like Mihailo Pavičević. He’s allowed me to play my game and be myself but he’s a tough guy. Has a lot of passion for the game and really pushes for me to never settle in games. He’s been an absolute pleasure to play for,” the February MVP told.

Mornar-Barsko zlato seem to be rising in their game ever since the dawn of the New Year and Marcus Weathers believes that the team has simply found new energy and confidence, that were lacking at the beginning of the season: “I think the key difference were the roster changes. Guys have found a new energy since then and we’ve been really motivated to turn this thing around considering where we are in the standings. I also believe the new additions have added much more confidence to the team.”

The American in the ranks of the Sailors believes that his team definitely can avoid relegation: “I see this team staying in AdmiralBet ABA League. I see us pushing these last games as hard as we can because our life does depend on this. I believe you guys will be seeing a different team each game and we are only going to keep getting better and better.”
