NLB MVP OF MARCH: Luka Božić – “We are a team that never gives up”
We have the sixth monthly NLB MVP of the 2023/24 season and this time it’s the award for the month of March. It is Luka Božić of Zadar, for the third time this season.

Luka Božić has proven, throughout the month of March, his dominance on the AdmiralBet ABA League courts wherever he has appeared and besides the fact that he finished the month near the top of the statistical category of valuation, he deserved himself the award with his contribution to the team's success – Zadar have won 3 of their 5 games played in the month of March.
The star player in the ranks of the Višnjik squad averaged 18 points, 7.6 rebounds, 7 assists, and a valuation of 24.4 during the games of Zadar in March.
Since this is the third monthly MVP award for Luka Božić, it is clear that the player is slowly, but surely, entering the history of the AdmiralBet ABA League. Luka told us that he is honoured by the recognition: “For me personally, this is a huge honour. It is always a special feeling when you accomplish something great, which will be written in league’s history forever.”
Božić believes that chemistry is one of the key reasons for Zadar’s success this season: “We have a better score than last season. We are a year older, are more experienced and know each other better. Chemistry is on a right level. I personally am trying to help my team in the best possible way and they are helping me to demonstrate my skills.”
The AdmiralBet ABA League Playoffs are ahead of us and many are wondering what Zadar is able to achieve during the peak of the season. Božić believes that his team will fight until the end. “For sure a battle until the very end can be expected from the Zadar squad. We are a team that never gives up and this is our trademark.”
Luka Božić became the very first player in the league’s history to score two triple-doubles in a single season. We were wondering whether we can expect another one by the end of the season. “I am really happy for my triple-doubles, but without head coach, coaching staff and my teammates, it would not be possible to achieve. It would be nice if I made another one, but for sure it is more important for me that my team plays well and keeps winning,” Luka concluded.
