Borac WWIN has opened up the new season with a win on the road against Slovenian side Ilirija. The visitors from Banja Luka took control of the game in the second quarter, they limited Ilirija to just 6 points in the period and built a 7-point advantage heading into the second half. During the second half, Borac WWIN controlled the tempo throughout and held on to their lead until the end of the game to record their first win of the season.
Anej Orel had a double-double for Ilirija tonight, he was their top performer with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Vuk Bošković led Borac WWIN to the victory as he put up a game-high 21 points and dished out 5 assists.
In Round 2, Ilirija takes on Šibenka while Borac WWIN will battle it out against 2022 NLB ABA League 2 champions Zlatibor.
