2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League Round 16, Friday, 10 January 2025:
ZADAR – CIBONA
Where? Krešimir Ćosić Arena, Zadar
When? 19:00
Story of the game: In the opening game of the AdmiralBet ABA League Round 16, Zadar will be hosting Cibona at home in their Krešimir Ćosić Arena in Zadar.
It’s a game of two squads, that are entering the game with different positions at the moment, but they do have one thing in common – both need to win in order to keep their chances of accomplishing their goals set for the season realistic.
While Zadar have won their last 4 games and are on an 8:7 record right now, on the edge of the Playoffs Zone, they need to win in order to increase their odds of qualifying for the Playoffs when the Regular Season ends. On the other end, Cibona have lost their last 7 games and are just a win away from the last place in the standings at the moment, with a 2:13 record. Of course, they need to win as well, in order to move away from the danger zone near the bottom of the standings as soon as possible.
Previously, Cibona have not had lots of success when playing on the road in Zadar, as they have prevailed in only 6 out of 22 mutual encounters in Zadar in Dalmatia so far.
Who will prevail this time?
Match-up in focus: Perhaps the most interesting individual match-up of the game can be the one between two excellent guards – Vladimir Mihailović and Krešimir Radovčić. While Mihailović is currently the top scorer of Zadar with an average of 16.6 points scored per game, Radovčić has been averaging 8.8 points scored per game, but has shined over the past two rounds in particular, when he scored 16 and 28 points, respectively. Who will lead their team to the win this time?
Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 25:20; in Zadar 16:6.
