Game recap: SC Derby defeated Igokea m:tel in one of the best games of the season!

It was a fantastic match. Each side presented some top-class basketball, while we also witnessed some tremendous individual performances on both ends of the court.

At the end, SC Derby prevailed in this epic overtime thriller as Igokea m:tel’s best player from tonight’s match Bryce Jones missed a 3-point shot at the buzzer.

SC Derby have therefore improved their season score to 10-15 and they remained at the 11^th place on the standings, while Igokea m:tel dropped to the overall score of 16-9 and they now share the 5^th place on the table with Cedevita Olimpija.

Key moments: Two moments marked today’s match. The first one happened right at the end of the 4^th quarter, when Igokea m:tel center Nikola Marić managed to grab an offensive rebound and then to make a 2-pointer right at the buzzer to tie the score and take this match into overtime – 98:98.

The second one came in the final moments of overtime. After Erick Neal missed a 2-point jumper, with 6 seconds remaining on the game clock and with SC Derby being up by 111:109, Igokea m:tel point guard Bryce Jones took the ball and immediately started running toward the opponent’s basket. He passed the ball to Marko Jeremić, while Jeremić then passed it back to Jones who was wide open for a 3-point shot…

But, Jones missed the 3-pointer at the buzzer and SC Derby won the match by 111:109.

Man of the match: In this category we will have to mention several players. Firstly, let’s start with the man of the match and that was Zoran Nikolić. SC Derby big guy put on a monster double-double performance with 22 points and 13 rebounds, while his overall index rating was 40!
