Ilirija make a break in the Finals Game 1, as they prevail on the road in Sarajevo

In the opening game of the NLB ABA League 2 Finals, Ilirija have outgunned Bosna Visit Sarajevo on the road in Skenderija Sports Hall in Sarajevo.

Ilirija are only a step away from sealing a true Cinderella story, as they are in front 1:0 in the Finals of their maiden NLB ABA League 2 season, and now only need one more win in the Final series in order to claim the NLB ABA League 2 Championship trophy.

The Ljubljana squad have started the game slowly, being down by 2 points after the opening quarter (22:20), only to turn the game completely upside-down by halftime (38:39) and continue to grind in the second half, and were already in front by 9 points (69:78) with a bit less than 2 minutes to go in the game. Bosna Visit Sarajevo did make a final push and took the game into a somewhat exciting finish, where they Ilirija eventually prevailed with the final score of 79:84.

For Ilirija, Vincent Golson and Matic Mikuš shined, as each of them contributed 18 points for a success of their squad.
