The first month of the 2016/17 season is behind us and we have the first monthly MVP this season. It is Cibona's big man Ante Žižić, who has earned himself the MVP of the 4th and 7th round awards previously.

In the third round of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, Partizan NIS were better than Stelmet Zielona Gora at home in Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall. In the other game of the day, Cibona were defeated at home by Sidigas Avellino.
