ABA League Round 18, Saturday, 6 February 2021:

PARTIZAN NIS - IGOKEA

Where? Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall, Belgrade

When? 19:00

Story of the game: Big game is coming up in Belgrade, as Partizan NIS will host Igokea in their Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall in a clash, that will be special for many reasons.

For the black and white this might perhaps be the last chance to catch the train for the ABA League Playoffs, as they are currently well-behind the five teams that have not suffered more than 3 defeats so far this season, as the Belgrade team have lost 9 games so far. If they wish to find themselves amongst the Top 4 at the end of the Regular Season, they must start winning games back to back. It will not be an easy task for the Steamroller, as they have now lost 3 ABA League games in a row and would need to end their streak in order to succeed.

On the other side, Igokea are in a terrific rhythm right now, as they are on a 4 games long winning streak and they are showing no intention of stopping there. They too, need to continue winning in order to keep their excellent position in the standings, where they are occupying the second place after 17 rounds, with 3 defeats suffered so far and no less than 13 games won.

Will the streaks end or be extended in Belgrade? Let’s watch the game and see how it unfolds!

Match-up in focus: Ognjen Jaramaz or Anthony Clemmons? It seems like the main clash on court of the Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall this time will be the one on the point guard position. While Ognjen Jaramaz will carry a large burden in the black and white squad on his position, he will now have a chance to face one of the toughest opponents in the league. Jaramaz is currently the second-leading scorer and third-leading passer of Partizan NIS with an average of 12.2 points and 2.4 assists per game, while Clemmons comes second at Igokea’s side in both scoring and passing with 11 points and 4.2 assists written down per game. Which one of the two of them will prevail this time?

Head to head in the regional league: in total 13:7; In Belgrade 8:1.
