Mornar and Partizan NIS have achieved victories in the opening round of Basketball Champions League, by overcoming Telenet Oostende and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, respectively.

Budućnost VOLI, Cedevita and Union Olimpija have suffered their second defeats this season in the Eurocup, while MZT Skopje Aerodrom did not appear in the second round.

Vanja Marinković’s name was for sure one of those that were mentioned the most times during and after the 5th round of ABA League season. The reason is of course his fantastic game-winning three pointer, scored against Union Olimpija.

Dušan Kutlešić is a new reinforcement for FMP, as he has agreed on a three-year cooperation with the new ABA League member. Former player of Sloboda Užice and Metalac Famrakom will represent an additional reinforcement for the team at the backcoutr positions.

Cedevita will soon be stronger for another American player, since point guard Pierre Jackson signed with the team from Zagreb. It is an excellent point guard with fantastic shooting abilities, excellent penetration abilities and court vision, which will suit coach Mršić well, taking into account the injury of Ra’shad James.

Cibona and Mega Leks were both defeated at their Basketball Champions League debuts. In Zagreb, Cibona were outplayed by Iberostar Tenerife, while Mega Leks were outscored by Sidigas Avellino in Sremska Mitrovica.

We have the MVP of the fifth round of the season and just like in the fourth round he comes from Cibona  – it is Željko Šakić who led his team towards the win in Zagreb against Karpoš Sokoli with the overall valuation of 30.

Crvena zvezda mts have reached their fifth win of the season in five opening games in the ABA League by outscoring Krka on the road in Novo mesto. They did the majority of their job in the first half.

Point guard Marko Ljubičić is the new FMP member. The experienced 29-year old signed a contract with the new member of the ABA League until the end of the season.
