POST-GAME COMMENTS

Game recap: Koper Primorska are continuing their ABA League season just the way they desired. After a painful home defeat in a local derby by Cedevita Olimpija the round before, they have returned to the winning path on the road in Belgade, where they have edged out Mega Bemax and achieved their fifth win of the season. This keeps them firmly seated in the Playoffs race, as they will be sharing the third place in the standings after seven rounds, below only Budućnost VOLI and Cedevita Olimpija. On the other side, Mega Bemax will continue their season in the ABA League with only a single win on their record and they will go on with their struggle to escape the danger zone near the very bottom of the regional competition’s standings.

Key moments: As many times before in this game, Mega Bemax managed to cut their deficit to only four points with 3 minutes remaining on the clock (75:71), as Marko Simonović made a three-point play. The gap remained the same as the teams entered the last minute, at the start of which Koper Primorska missed 3 shot attempts, but also grabbed 3 offensive rebounds afterwards. With Ivan Marinković’s successful free throws half a minute before the end of the game, Koper Primorska pulled away to 79:73 and the hunt for a victory was over.

Man of the match: Marko Jagodić Kuridža once again dominated the court for Koper Primorska, as he had 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, a steal and a valuation of 23 in 29 minutes spent on court in which he led his team to the victory. He is our man of the match.

Can’t trick the stats: Koper Primorska have outrebounded Mega Bemax 35:30, but what really made the difference were the offensive rebounds of the guests – the home side allowed them no less than 18, which is simply too many.
