At home in their Tivoli Sports Hall in Ljubljana, Ilirija have grabbed an important win over Široki TT Kabeli.

This is the second win of the Top 8 stage of the competition for the NLB ABA League 2 newcomers of Ljubljana, which puts them in a favourable position in their battle for the Semi-finals, as they are now on a 2:1 record. On the other side, Široki are now on a 0:3 record in the Group F right now.

It has been a game, which has been opened in a better fashion by the visiting side, that led by 5 points after the opening quarter and still by 4 at the big break. The second half brought a comeback by the hosts, however, as they stormed past Široki TT Kabeli in the third quarter with a partial score of 28:13, that turned the game completely upside-down. In the final quarter, Ilirija managed to calmly cruise towards the win in the end with the final score of 82:69.
